Desperate

I'm out of coffee filters. Oh no! So I did the desperation route. Oh yes, folks, I used a napkin as a filter. I need my coffee, damn it!

We shall henceforth call Mona the Bone-a Head "O Mighty Hunter, The Dimwitted." My daughter has been calling the dog dimwitted lately. I LOVE hearing her say that word (NOT in listening of her brother). I shouldn't encourage her, and I don't really, but it fits the dog perfectly. Last night, I put the nut on her lead out front. When I stepped onto the porch, I see a tiny bunny in the front yard. He's frozen and hopin' the dog doesn't notice. Which she doesn't. O Mighty Hunter, The Dimwitted has no clue that the bane of her existence is about 7 feet away. She just pees and sniffs around in the yard. FINALLY, she works her way close enough that she frightes off the bunny, but she is unprepared for the chase. Dumbass.

I have a doctor's appointment today and I'm off to my mini-vacay tomorrow. I was very tempted to take today day off also so I could get some shit done, but after tomorrow, I only have 3 days of vacation left. And one of them is spoken for cuz I gotta drive my 'rents and kids to the airport for their trip to AZ in July. I'm so not looking forward to that. My mom was trying to be nice but she scared the ever-lovin' life out of me. See, she's coming about the 15th or 16th. Then they fly out the 17th or 18th. She's been a little unclear about the itinerary. Anyway, they'll be gone for a week and then I figured they'd stay for a day or so to rest up. After the daycare costs/Ex taking the kids part time discussion, she mentions that I won't have to worry about daycare costs for 2 weeks. TWO WEEKS?!?! She must have heard the panic in my voice cuz she was quick to reassure me that they'll be traveling around the state visiting my stepdad's family. Whew, another bullet dodged.

My Ex is doing something weird for Father's Day this year. He's letting our daughter go on a camping trip with his mom. He's not gonna have her at all. It makes me kinda sad. The church that the kids and Grandma attend are having little Camp sessions throughout the summer. This is more like summer camp than actual camping. So Ex-MIL had asked if she could take the Big Monkey to one of them. I don't care, it would be fun. Well Big Monkey mentions that it's the weekend of whatever, the 16th maybe? I'm like, "Huh, I wonder if Grandma knows it's Father's Day." So I called her and she said she and the Ex had already discussed it and he gave his ok. Grandma couldn't pick ANY other camp. Or maybe the Ex just doesn't care. Whatever. I just find it strange.

And that's pretty much it for this morning. Other than I am TIRED. I meant to go to bed very early, like a little after 9pm I think. And I got to screwing around online and then I called a friend and we talked FOREVER. Discussing some distressing shit and also just catching up. I didn't go to bed until after 11:30. I'm payin' for it now.

We have used paper towels on occasion - I completely empathise with the NEED for coffee!!
